Music to strut to.
Music to strut to.
This might just be my favourite song to dance to at weddings.
Supergroups are never really built to last, but I always enjoyed Audioslave for the time that they were around. The combination of Rage Against the Machine’s funk-metal sound with Chris Cornell’s top-tier alt-rock voice always seemed like a winner to me.
Bonus points for the Vantage Point footage in this music video too.
If you like your album’s diverse, make sure to check out Ill Communication. Seriously, this song’s only two tracks after “Sabotage”.
After The Jimi Hendrix Experience broke up, Hendrix got together with Billy Cox and Buddy Miles to form Band of Gypsys.
Who Knows is the lead track off of their only album, and the final release from Jimi before his death, later that year. One of my favourite things about it, is that they have Jimi Hendrix playing guitar (one of the greatest soloists of all time), but still dedicate over a full minute to a scat solo.
This song’s a perfect example of just how amazingly produced Off The Wall was. Every single instrument perfectly put to use, tempo rising at falling at just the right times… It’s just an incredibly well put together song.
