#songoftheday: The Replacements – Skyway
Pleased to Meet Me has got to be one of the best impulse buys that I ever made at “the big HMV”.
#songoftheday: The Cure – Just Like Heaven
Last summer, I was treated to no less than 3 live performances of this song. Dinosaur Jr., and AFI did admirable jobs, but seeing The Cure perform it was really something else.
#songoftheday: The Blue Hearts – Linda Linda (リンダリンダ)
I first came across this song about 7 years ago, on the soundtrack to a Japanese rhythm game that I imported for my DS.
The fact that Me First and the Gimme Gimmes have covered it since then, never fails to make me smile.
#songoftheday: Michael Jackson – Billie Jean
This might just be my favourite song to dance to at weddings.

#songoftheday: DeBarge – I Like It
Oddly enough, I came across this gem by way of “Rump Shaker” by Wreckx-N-Effect. It turns out the lines, “I like the way you comb your hair, and I like those stylish clothes you wear” have been used in a few songs since this DeBarge hit.
#songoftheday: Bon Jovi – Runaway
Gotta love that super-determined 80s keyboard intro.
#songoftheday: Tears for Fears – Everybody Wants to Rule the World
In honour of 100 posts, here’s one of my all time favourite songs.
#songoftheday: The Clash – Straight to Hell
The Clash are hands down, one of the greatest punk bands of all time. They pioneered an entire genre, and as such, never seemed tied to what that genre had to mean.
