#songoftheday: Led Zeppelin – Ramble On
The perfect fusion of acoustic, electric and Tolkien. Page and Plant are incredible as always, but this song has some of my favourite rhythm work by John Paul Jones and John Bonham.
#songoftheday: Incubus – Drive
For some reason, rotoscoped animation’s always come across to me as looking more fluid and smooth than real life movement. It really makes no sense, but there ya go.
Also, this song’s just great.
#songoftheday: Weezer – Heart Songs
This song from Weezer’s third self-titled album could very well be the perfect theme for this blog. It’s message is pretty much spot on with my motivation to work on this site.
#songoftheday: Tyrone Wells – Use Somebody (Kings of Leon Cover)
A really well done acoustic cover never fails to increase my admiration for a song that I already enjoyed. The stripped back nature gives you that luxury of admiring the little things, and lets all the emotion behind the song shine through that much brighter.
#songoftheday: Tenacious D – Wonderboy
This song reveals the greatest superpower of all: The Power….to move you. Also, mind bullets.
#songoftheday: Barenaked Ladies – Brian Wilson
I love the fact that one of Canada’s most popular rock acts features a guy that plays an upright bass.
#songoftheday: Beastie Boys – I Don’t Know
One of the many songs off Hello Nasty that completely caught me off guard. A perfect example of how experimental they can get on their albums.
